Body Language - a very very short seven sentence postcard fiction story by Rob Hopcott

When I walked into the busy cafe in the crowded Shopping Mall, it was clear that the petite lady with the long black hair, demure green dress and perfect makeup seated in the window had everybody's attention.

I took my place at a table and tried, without being too obvious, to see why.

Was it the delicate way she was eating her cake? Or perhaps the romance novel she was reading? Or was it something special about the designer store shopping bags she'd neatly placed on the shiny floor.

Then I understood!

It was the masculine way she'd crossed her legs.
